every year…every holiday… every time I’m appalled at so called Christians. The idea of “holy week” is such a lie and yet so many people celebrate it and call it worship. The false timelines of what happened leading up to, during and after the crucifixion is a joke. All it takes is a little bit of thought and searching the scriptures to see it and yet “Christians” walk around, whether willfully ignorant and not caring for truth at all. The same is done for Christmas as well and it’s nauseating.
A very obvious example…
“But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” Matthew 12:39-40
If you say that Jesus was crucified and died on Friday (“good Friday”) and rose on Sunday than you make Him a liar. Just do the math….Friday afternoon to Sunday morning is at beat 2 nights and less than 2 full days.
“In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;” — Titus 1:2
Think about the magnitude of what you are saying…calling God a liar and then claiming to worship Him is that lie!!!
Christ, Himself said that He is TRUTH and that we must worship in TRUTH! The common come back is “I’m celebrating the birth of Christ so that’s all that matters.” Or “I’m celebrating and worshipping Him for His work on the cross so that’s all that matters.”
But it’s not….
We must worship God the way He tells us to and that must be in spirit and in truth. Worshipping Him through lies and man made traditions is not true worship. The Israelites built a statue to “worship” God because they needed a physical thing to worship…and God became angry! They were punished because of it!! Slapping the name of Christ on false “holidays” and man made traditions is the same thing. It’s seeking a physical thing to worship rather than worshipping God Himself, the way He tells us to.
We can’t worship truth, as Jesus/God is truth, through a lie. It’s impossible.
“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” — Colossians 2:8
I pray that if you are reading this and you “worship” through these lies….I pray that you will put down your offence because of my words and go to the scriptures. Search the scriptures and seek God’s truth. Come out of the traditions of men, come out of the world, seek Him in spirit and in truth and watch what He does.
“And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” Acts 17:10-11
He will give you wisdom if you ask. He will open the door if you knock. He will reveal truth to you if you seek Him with a true heart for Him. Let go of the traditions of family time and memories and all the other things that don’t mean anything in the end. They won’t get you to heaven. He, Jesus Christ Himself, is the only way to heaven. Oh what a marvelous day it will be when we see Him face to face and hear Him say
“His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” — Matthew 25:21
“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” — Jeremiah 29:13
