“Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.” — Proverbs 31:25
I have been seeking God’s word to show me what it means to be a godly woman so naturally Proverbs 31 has been part of that! Truth be told, I have not been laughing at the things we are walking through right now!! We have moved temporarily a couple times and are facing some challenges that have left me exhausted and frustrated, not knowing what is next or how we are going to work it out.
My babies seem to be doing a better job then me!! They follow me around helping with the baby and asking questions trying to figure out their roles. I often hear them giggling and singing like they have no cares in the world. It’s that child-like faith…they trust that we as their parents are going to take care of them and they don’t have to worry. They hear about God’s faithfulness multiple times a day as we read the Word and talk about it. They rejoice at the things to come while I find myself worried and afraid. They are setting the example that I should be setting for them!!
“And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.” Matthew 18: 3-5
Today, I am choosing to rejoice at the things to come. I repent of my doubt and fear! I will trust that God is going to make all the details fall into place. His will will be done. I’m so honored to be called their mom. I don’t deserve them but my heart aches with love for each one of these precious babies He has entrusted me with. Most of the time they bless me and teach me more than I do them! Today I make a decision to do better, not in my strength, in His!
“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9
